It's not going to be pretty. But he needs to be potty trained before preschool in August, so I have 6 months to get my act together.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04600607407671276407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5707803433045251633.post-21345833424310911872010-01-21T20:09:13.746-07:002010-01-21T20:09:13.746-07:00Fortunately, I have a wonderful sitter that potty ...Fortunately, I have a wonderful sitter that potty trained Josephine. She said the best thing to do once they are ready (sounds like he might be) is to put them in regular underwear immediately (pull ups at night only). He will have accidents but eventually he will figure out that it is uncomfortable and "bad" to wet his pants. It probably took a couple of weeks for her to go without an accident (she would have the bad ones when we weren't paying attention so it was our fault at those times). I'm not sure if you want to do this now with a newborn just because we had to ask her every couple of hours for the first few (well 6 months) if she needed to go. He is older than she was when she potty trained, so he may get the concept of going on his own alot faster. Good luck and hang in there!!!OMIDuckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03235501829959152219noreply@blogger.com
