I love breastfeeding. I feel proud of my body for creating life and then being able to sustain & nourish that little life. I also advocate breastfeeding and think it's more important that most people realize. It's so easy in mainstream society to give babies formula, and while I realize there are some instances where it's necessary, I also think a lot of women choose not to breastfeed for "personal reasons." Reasons that are mostly selfish on their part.
I'm probably not making friends by writing this, but whatever.
I truly feel that more support & education should be available to new mothers so that they have a better chance of having a successful nursing experience. And I am inspired by Salma Hayek. I have no doubt in my mind that I would nurse a starving baby if the situation arose.

Bravo! Bravo! Looking back I really wish that I had nursed you more. The education and support just weren't there and, yes, it was much easier to give you a bottle. I always felt that I couldn't measure how much liquid you were taking in from breast milk so the bottle was my answer to my dilemma. Lillian and Brandt will and have benefited from your diligence and determination.
Also, if you have another baby you can feel even more fulfilled with the whole breastfeeding phenomenon. You and Joe produce such amazing children...no pressure!
What's one more small incision and a few itchy moments compared to breastfeeding another cute baby??!!!
I'll stop now.
I'll gladly have another baby. If we magically get a bigger house & car first.
