I went to Fry's yesterday because the first Wednesday of the month is senior discount day with an extra 10% off everything. I use my dad's rewards card so I get the extra 10%, because I'm sneaky like that. And cheap. I didn't really need too many groceries so I planned on checking out the toiletries for super bargains with my coupons. And all coupons at Fry's right now are worth $1.00. Below are some of my best deals:
Colgate toothpaste: On sale for $1.00, $0.90 after senior discount (SD), $1.00 coupon = Free plus $0.10 back!
Colgate toothbrush: On sale for $1.00, $0.90 after SD, $1.00 coupon = Free plus $0.10 back!
GUM 2-pack of toothbrushes: On sale for $1.00, $0.90 after SD, $1.00 coupon = Free plus $0.10 back!
Ivory 3-pack of soap: On sale for $1.00, $0.90 after SD, $1.00 coupon = Free plus $0.10 back!
Bounty Basic paper towels: $1.19 per roll, $1.07 after SD, $1.00 coupon = $0.07 each
Energizer 4-pack of AAA batteries: On sale for $2.50, $2.25 after SD, $1.00 coupon = $1.25
Quaker instant oatmeal: On sale for $1.77, $1.59 after SD, $1.00 coupon = $0.59
Kraft salad dressing: On sale for $1.47, $1.32 after SD, $1.00 coupon = $0.32
Dreyer's Ice Cream: On sale for $1.99, $1.79 after SD, $1.00 off 2 coupon = $1.29 each
I ended up purchasing 36 items and paying a total of $31.35, so approximately $0.87 per item. This has been my most economical shopping trip so far, but I plan to continue to learn how to save even more.

Karen, if I give you a list, will you do my shopping for me next month? No really, will you?
Ha! I would, except I don't really make a list for this type of shopping. I go and see what's on sale and if I have corresponding coupons. So I never know what kind of deals I will find.
