Formula Fed America

I feel like I need to comment somehow, but I just don't know what to say! I just feel like the women portrayed are SOOOOOOOOOO judgemental, and I am not judging them, and I don't care what they do with their kid, so why in the world would they care what I do with mine?? I think preschool is really important, but I would never make a documentary about how not sending your child to preschool is ruining them for life! I don't know anything, other than I don't feel guilty for not breastfeeding exclusively, and that is exactly what the video is TRYING to make me feel. Of course I know you think it is important, and you choose to do it, and that is WONDERFUL, I guess I just didn't like the moms in the video :-)!

I know it's a touchy subject, so thank you for putting up with my breastfeeding posts, lol.

Most of the time, I think they are great, there was just something about this crazy video that set me off. Like I said, I guess I just don't like them as much as you!

I just don't see that there is an agenda being pushed for formula feeding so much as the opposite (I actually had a lactation consultant essentially refused to rent a pump to my husband when I had blocked ducts). Everyone I talked to before having Victoria was really just shoving it down my throat. We literally tried EVERYTHING this time to get breastfeeding to work, and it just didn't. But that's how it goes. I get what the experts are saying, but, historically, wet nurses were used quite often as opposed to the actual mothers breastfeeding. On the other hand, I am AMAZED at my friends that can breastfeed successfully. I just don't like to hear that I have ruined my babies because they haven't been breastfed. I don't buy the obesity argument either. We're third generation with formula, and no one is fat in my family - they might want to consider other factors. BUT like I said - kudos to those that do it!
